2008 News
Clearheart and I started off our season at Galway Downs International Horse Trials and 3Day event. We had one of our best
dressage tests, but unfortunately it did not score as well as he usually does. Competition was stiff and although we had
no problems on stadium or cross country we finished 10th out of 20 riders.
Coconino Horse Trials in May was fantastic! We finished 1st! Clearheart was quite good in dressage scoring 34.2 which placed
us in 2nd. Stadium flowed nicely, we had 1 rail and dropped to 3rd place. Cross country apparently had lots of casualties,
but not for Clearheart-he was brave and correct finishing double clear! We took the blue ribbon home:) After the event we
stayed and schooled the preliminary course. Looks like we should be moving up at the next event!
Flagstaff, AZ Cocconino County Horse Trials July 2008: Our first Preliminary level event!!! Clearheart thought it was just
another training level event! He showed no fear and had no difficulty what so ever with the level. I was quite pleased with
our performance in our very first prelim. We not only completed the event, but we finished in 3rd place.
